SEASONAL REMINDERS AND CHANGES
As we gear up for an exciting season of netball, we would like to take a moment to share some important safety information and reminders to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all involved. We ask that families and spectators also familiarise themselves with our Code of Conduct for Parents/Guardians and Spectators.

Respect for Umpires and Coaches: We ask that all players, families, and spectators show the utmost respect to our umpires and coaches. The umpires play a critical role in ensuring fair play, and our coaches volunteer their time to support our players' development. Netball Victoria has introduced a new initiative this season, where umpires under 18 years old will wear green armbands to help identify their age. Please show extra understanding and patience with these young umpires, and remember that respect for all officials and coaches is essential for a positive sporting environment.

Respect for Volunteers: Our coaches are volunteers, and we cannot emphasize enough how much we appreciate their time and dedication. They give their best to support your child’s development, but also that of the entire team and they deserve the same respect and encouragement that we expect of our players. Let’s all work together to create a supportive environment where our coaches and officials can do their best.

Respect for Property and the Courts: We are asking all families to be mindful of our courts and the surrounding facilities. A few reminders:

-
Rubbish: Please take home all rubbish after each training or game.
-
Siblings: Supervise siblings who are at the courts, as they should not be left unsupervised regardless of age.
-
Dogs: No dogs are allowed on the courts, regardless of the dog’s age.
-
Parking: Our local council is currently working on improving the main car park to enhance pedestrian safety and traffic flow. These improvements will be happening throughout February and March. Please remember to abide by all updated signage – including no parking and give way signs. Safety bollards have been placed to prevent parking behind the goal posts of the football oval. Netball families should not park around the oval, as these spaces are reserved for cricket and football patrons. For more information on parking, please visit: [Parking Information](https://www.lyvna.com.au/parking-tent-marquee-info)

Uniform and Game Day Guidelines: A quick reminder that LYVNA will be strictly enforcing uniform guidelines this season. Players must wear the correct uniform and ensure that only brown cotton tape is used for taping nails and earrings on game day. Paper tape is not acceptable.

Thank you for your cooperation in making this season a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. We look forward to seeing you on the courts!
